Alright so combat is probably a controversial topic in a lot of open roleplays like this, so for Point Reyes Grove we're going to be using a turn based system using a dice roll.
So, basically, if you initiate combat with someone, you would state what you're doing, roll the dice (a 1d20) and if the number is higher than 10, your attack will be successful. The higher the number beyond 10, the more severe the hit is.
In order to roll the dice for any action that would need such a thing (totally isn't restricted to just combat, can also be used for mind trickery, manipulation, mind control and such) you can either click the dice button on the toolbar when you're writing a reply, or simply type in [ roll ] (with no spaces inside the brackets).

Once a successful combat roll has been made, the opposing player decides what that hit does. Note: If you are hit, it has to do something, even if it's just a glancing hit, but we're operating on a consent based system here so that we can be as fair as possible.
