Unseelie faction leader (Winter Queen): Maebh MacTiernan
Duration: Until replaced, by choice or by force
Governing form: Monarchy
Leniency: Arguable
Punishments are not based on occurrence but on severity as determined by the acting magistrate. The magistrate must be of higher rank than either party. If a higher rank fae cannot be summoned for this then a council of 3 will be appointed. The council will be made up for the 3 highest ranking fae available. Any interested parties are never considered to be available.
Minor punishment: The fae will be cast out for a day and a night. During this time none will be permitted to aid the fae in any way and the fae will be barred entry to any fae grounds. If the fae tries to force entry, force may be used in return. For the duration of this punishment, they will be marked as an enemy to all fae.
Moderate punishment: As minor but longer up to a fortnight.
Major punishment: Exile. Marked foe permanently or until the fae earns acceptance back.
Severe punishment: Trial by Iron. The fae will be made to swallow a piece of iron. After consumption, they will be marked. If they survive the sickness then they will be permitted to live as an enemy of the fae. The fae may, under extremely rare circumstances, earn their acceptance back.
A magistrate or council of 3 may always deal out an alternate punishment meant to more accurately fit the crime. If the punished fae feels this unfair, they can request a higher ranking fae to review the punishment. The reviewer may alter the punishment as they see fit (either more or less sever) or they may stand by the original punishment. If there isn't anyone to elevate the matter to, the Winter Queen will cast a final verdict.
